Job summary

State of Vermont is seeking an Information Technology Project Manager IV in Montpelier to oversee the Finance workstream and coordinate leaders and SMEs. This full-time permanent role requires managing scope, schedule and cost while ensuring readiness across validation, testing, and training activities.

Ideal candidates have a PMP or 5+ years of IT project management experience in finance, accounting, procurement, grants, or budgeting. Telework within Vermont may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, information technology or related field OR PMP certification with 3+ years IT project management experience.
• Five (5) years or more of IT project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the State-side Financials workstream and coordinate Finance leads and SMEs.
• Track decisions, risks, dependencies, and deliverables; support design validation and testing readiness.
• Manage project plans, scope, schedule and costs; coordinate resources and vendor deliverables.
• Prepare and present information to management or the legislature; monitor daily activities and mitigate risks.
