Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to provide senior-level technical leadership, strategic guidance, and operational oversight for AFCENT A6 enterprise IT services across the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility.

This position will serve as a key advisor for network operations, systems engineering, cybersecurity operations, mission network sustainment, and IT project execution supporting contingency and wartime operations.

Qualifications

• MS in related field or 10+ years IT experience
• PMP or equivalent certification required
• CCNP certification preferred
• Trainer Certification (Microsoft, Cisco or Military equivalent)
• ITIL Foundation - candidate has up to 60 days to acquire

Responsibilities

• Assist AFCENT A63 Technical Director and HQ Air Force with goals, objectives and implementation strategies for IT services across the enterprise.
• Provide management oversight and technical direction across NOSC areas for IT operations, networks/systems engineering, and cybersecurity operations.
• Ensure appropriate O&M actions on mission networks to maintain mission effectiveness.
• Apply SDLC concepts in engineering activities.
• Assist planning and execution of AFCENT network operations projects for contingency and wartime operations.
• Provide technical coordination and research for emerging technologies and prepare briefings on IT topics.
• Participate in strategic planning conferences and working groups; provide recommendations.
• Review technical project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare briefings and presentations in support of IT initiatives.
• Assist with developing/modifying standardized training to meet NOSC mission requirements.
• Assist project leads with scope, resources, schedules and general project management.
• Coordinate technical visits from DoD activities, contractors, and vendors.
• Represent AFCENT A6 during technical exchanges with DoD agencies, vendors and partners.
• Meet with key vendors to represent AFCENT A6 requirements.
• Provide IT management, LAN/WAN support and training support.
