Job summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an IT Program Manager in Atlanta to oversee a multi-project program within the TS&PD Organization. You will lead a team of project managers, align project plans with strategic objectives, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while communicating with senior leadership.

The role requires PMP/ PgPM experience, strong PMI knowledge, and excellence in budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. A 3-year engagement; on-site at Atlanta location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is highly desirable.
• PMP or PgPM certification is preferred.
• High technical proficiency in software development or ERP applications.
• Extensive experience managing enterprise-scale programs with multiple projects.
• Strong PMI-based knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a team of project managers and business leaders to define scope and plans.
• Serve as the program status reporting hub and governance body for the program.
• Assess dependencies across projects and monitor progress to align with objectives.
• Develop and maintain program deliverables and manage project manager outputs.
• Identify risks and manage risk throughout the program lifecycle.
