Job summary

Cornell University in Midtown seeks a Senior Project Manager-OSPM (CEMI) for a 2-year term appointment to lead planning, execution and delivery of large IT projects. This role requires strong leadership, governance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget and risk, provide updates to stakeholders, mentor staff, and help refine project management processes across ITS/POIS services. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Midtown.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Approximately 8+ years IT or Project Management experience.
• Strong capabilities in scope, schedule, budget, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management of multiple IT projects and programs.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables with approvals from stakeholders.
• Monitor execution to meet schedule, cost, and quality goals.
• Develop and maintain PM plans, schedules, reports, and documentation.
• Communicate status and risks to sponsors and teams.
• Mentor junior staff and align processes with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve PM methodologies.
