Job summary

Exelixis Inc in Alameda, CA seeks an Associate Director, IT Product Management – Enterprise Platforms to lead strategic roadmaps and deliver digital workplace solutions that boost productivity and collaboration across the organization.

You will manage product delivery, oversee the full development lifecycle, ensure security/compliance (SOX, 21 CFR Part 11 where applicable), mentor a high-performing team, and partner with stakeholders and vendors to maximize business value and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 11 years of related experience; or Master’s degree in a related discipline and 9 years of related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience 5+ years in IT product management or digital workplace leadership roles.
• Experience with SAP is required.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Roadmap: Lead the execution of product strategy and develop actionable product plans and roadmaps.
• Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing development and operations team to execute the product and platform roadmap.
• Address issues or gaps through informed decision making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and end users to deliver new product features and resolve operational issues.
• Vendor Management: Support relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure delivery aligns with platform goals and service levels.
• IT Product Delivery: Oversee the entire development life cycle, from conceptualization to delivery across products and stakeholders, including security, continual support and enhancements, change management and user adoption.
• Performance Metrics: Create and monitor key performance indicators to assess product effectiveness and business value.
• Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and cost management across all products and sub product lines in his/her functional areas of support.
• Market Analysis: Analyze trends and best practices again to identify opportunities for new features and improvements across products.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all product releases meet rigorous quality standards and compliance requirements if any, including SOX, GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Security Protocols: Implement and maintain security protocols to ensure all enterprise platforms and applications adhere to the latest security standards and protect sensitive data.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
