Job summary

PerkinElmer, a global leader in scientific solutions, seeks a Senior Procurement IT Category Manager to lead IT procurement, including contracting and renewals for multi-million-dollar IT agreements. You will collaborate across IT, finance and legal to optimize licenses, consolidate applications, and drive cost reductions through disciplined procurement practices.

You will manage renewal strategies, negotiate favorable terms, and benchmark commercial terms to ensure value while mitigating risk.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in a procurement or buying role.
• 10+ years of experience supporting IT and technology categories.
• Experience supporting procurement categories on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT procurement initiatives with focus on software and SaaS.
• Partner with IT, finance and legal to optimize licenses and reduce TCO.
• Develop proactive renewal strategies and negotiation leverage.
• Negotiate favorable terms and ensure compliant, benchmarked agreements.
• Provide market intelligence on software licensing models and vendors.
• Possess consulting background to approach problems analytically.
