Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc (NHBB) is seeking an experienced IT professional to support servers, PCs, IoT and OT in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include patching, upgrades, and overall systems administration to align with company policies.

The role covers spec development, testing, deployment, documentation, and user training across IT and plant operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Windows and Linux, VM management, and the ability to manage priorities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field of work
Working experience with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
Past projects from conception to completion with high accuracy
Working experience with Virtual Machines (VM) setup and configuration
Strong experience setting up and repairing personal computers
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
Working knowledge of Linux systems
Experience setting up and repairing servers (Windows and/or Linux)
Working knowledge of network administration a plus
IBMi operating system knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

Specification Development – working with the business to develop project specifications
Testing – design and document tests for OS, hardware or software upgrades
Update, migrate or deploy systems to production
Documentation Development – document network and communications per policy
Analysis and Problem Resolution – support business and IT issue resolution
Train personnel in user departments on procedures
Maintain technology expertise
Assist IS Management with special projects
