Job summary

Hut 8 in Miami, FL is seeking an IT Operations and Infrastructure Engineer. You will design, deploy, and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services, to ensure high availability and security.

Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, you will monitor performance, perform updates and backups, manage Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, and collaborate with teams to implement secure, scalable solutions across our data-center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and servers, networks, and endpoints management.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Networking experience (Fortinet).
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure performance for high availability and reliability.
• Perform regular updates, patches, backups to ensure security and integrity.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other critical IT services.
• Implement cloud-based solutions and monitor cloud resource utilization and costs.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot IT incidents and service requests; develop documentation for procedures.
