Job summary

Hut 8 in Miami's Brickell HQ is seeking an IT Operations and Infrastructure Engineer to oversee our IT backbone, including servers, networks, and cloud services.

You'll optimize performance, enforce security policies, manage Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, and partner with the IT team on infrastructure projects. The role demands hands-on expertise across Windows and Linux, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, servers, network, and endpoints/devices management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) is required.
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Experience with ITSM applications (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with network technologies (e.g., Fortinet).
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure across servers, networks, and cloud services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups for integrity and security.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other critical IT services.
• Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions and monitor cloud costs.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests promptly.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures and configurations.
• Enforce IT security policies and conduct regular security audits.
