Job summary

Allia Health Group is seeking an IT Network Specialist to own the on-premise network and security across the pharmacy facility and brand infrastructure. You will help design segmentation, manage firewalls, logging, alerts, and proactive monitoring to ensure HIPAA-aligned security and high availability.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience, CCNA or equivalent certification, and a Security+ credential, with a strong focus on production-network reliability and multi-site functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in IT/networking.
• CCNA or equivalent vendor certification (JNCIA, Aruba ACSA, Fortinet FCP) or demonstrated skill.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security fundamentals credential.
• 5–8 years in network administration or network engineering.
• Production network ownership with change decisions and escalation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the on-premise network and security across facilities and cloud-connected workloads.
• Design and maintain network segmentation separating production systems, PHI workstations, and guest traffic.
• Manage firewall rule lifecycle with reviews, approvals, and removal of overly permissive rules.
• Deploy centralized logging across devices with proper retention as per compliance program.
• Build tuned alert rules and escalate to responders for actionable incidents.
• Monitor throughput, latency, and failover readiness for production paths.
• Coordinate site connectivity, redundancy, and vendor governance with SLAs.
• Provide on-site coverage during absences and assist IT staff as needed.

Education
