Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Networking Engineer to support mission-critical network infrastructure at the DOE Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX. The role focuses on maintaining enterprise networks, security compliance, and lifecycle management in a highly secure environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong Cisco expertise, experience supporting DoD/DOE environments, and the ability to maintain highly available systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of networking experience.
• Strong experience with Cisco enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise network operations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of network security, access control, and operational best practices.
• Ability to work within highly regulated and secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless networks, and data centers.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and restore services per SLAs.
• Develop lifecycle plans including upgrades, patching, maintenance windows, and rollbacks.
• Monitor network health and performance with NOC/SOC telemetry reporting.
• Administer ISE and network access controls, manage policies and identity groups.
