Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a secure DOE nuclear security and environmental remediation program. This role is fully onsite in Amarillo, TX and requires an active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.

The IT Networking Engineer will maintain and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across routing, switching, wireless, VoIP, and core services in a highly secure DOE environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with significant networking experience.
• 5+ years of relevant networking experience incl. Cisco routing and switching.
• Experience with secure, highly available enterprise networks.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Amarillo, TX.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 99.9% core network availability.
• Develop lifecycle, patching, and rollback plans.
• Monitor devices, support NOC/SOC onboarding and telemetry.
• Support Cisco ISE, NAC, and identity groups.
• Manage WLAN, VoIP, and related services.
• Manage load balancers, DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
• Maintain documentation and change records in ServiceNow.
