Rhoads Industries, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking an IT Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN and Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring security and reliability across our enterprise.

The role covers Azure networking, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and network security, with tier-3 support as needed. You will plan and deploy equipment, monitor performance, and mentor team members while working in a fast-paced, industrial environment at The Navy Yard.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 8+ years supporting Microsoft environments with 500+ end users.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing and switching, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting Azure networking, including virtual networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway or ExpressRoute, private endpoints, and DNS, with secure hybrid connectivity to on-premises networks.

Aufgaben

• Plan, deploy, and configure network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Monitor network performance and availability using appropriate tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center.)
• Design and implement Windows Server–based infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Design, deploy, and support Azure network infrastructure
• Apply firmware and software updates to maintain system stability and security.
• Perform regular capacity planning and health checks.
• Provide tier-3 support for escalated network issues.
