Rhoads Industries is seeking an IT Network Engineer to join our fast-paced team at The Navy Yard in Philadelphia. You will design, implement, and maintain the organization’s network and Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and reliability across LAN/WAN, wireless, and Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
• 8+ years supporting Microsoft environments with 500+ end users.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing and switching, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network security principles.
• Hands‑on experience designing and supporting Azure networking, including virtual networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway or ExpressRoute, private endpoints, and DNS, with secure hybrid connectivity to on‑premises networks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy, and configure network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Monitor network performance and availability using appropriate tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center).
• Design and implement Windows Server–based infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Design, deploy, and support Azure network infrastructure
• Apply firmware and software updates to maintain system stability and security.
• Perform regular capacity planning and health checks.
• Provide tier-3 support for escalated network issues.
