Job summary

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill an IT Managed Services L3 Specialist role in Buffalo, NY. This direct placement is hybrid, with in-office days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

You will serve as the senior escalation point for complex cybersecurity incidents and infrastructure issues, guiding incident response and client communications while maintaining operational resilience. Strong expertise in Windows Server, AD, networking, and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of IT support or managed services with proven L3/senior experience.
• Current certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+ or Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or VMware VCP.
• Hands-on expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Strong networking knowledge across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and WAN optimization.
• Demonstrated cybersecurity principles, incident response, vulnerability assessments, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting languages with experience using RMM tools, PSA platforms, and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex cybersecurity incidents, infrastructure issues, and critical outages
• Lead incident response efforts during major service disruptions and communicate with clients
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise environments
• Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, backup systems, and DR planning
• Receive and resolve complex issues escalated from Level 2 and mentor junior technicians
• Lead technical implementation of infrastructure and security projects with client communication
• Interface with vendors for advanced technical support and multi-vendor integration
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks
• Build strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery
