Job summary

TestPros, a federal contractor, seeks Senior Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Specialists to support reviews across software lifecycle artifacts and governance processes.

You will interpret industry and government practices to assess operations, ensure traceability, and produce technical documentation of IV&V findings. Candidate should excel in communication and work with clients at all levels.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) with state or federal clients or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience with IEEE 1012 IL4 assessments.
• Knowledge of IV&V requirements and industry standards (IEEE 1012, CMMI, PMBOK).
• Excellent written and oral communication; organizational and analytic skills.

• Conduct reviews and assessments focusing on Software Development Processes and release-readiness evidence.
• Ensure documentation is well written, accurate, complete, and thorough.

Overview

The candidate duties will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: Ability to gather, interpret, and apply leading industry and Government practice to support review of operations

• Conduct reviews and assessments with primary focus on the following areas:
• Software Development Processes
• Configuration integrity and release-readiness evidence
• software development planning and process implementation
• software artifact quality and completeness
• requirements traceability and consistency across software lifecycle artifacts
• configuration integrity and release-readiness evidence
• verification evidence and discrepancy/corrective-action closure
• Communications Management
• Configuration Management
• Integration Management
• Data Oversight and Planning
• Cutover Management
• Testing and Validation
• Correctly interpret and consistently follow the Program's defined policies, processes, and procedures.
• Develop technical documentation detailing IV&V findings.
• Ensure documentation is well written, accurate, complete, and thorough.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 4 years' experience performing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) with state or federal clients, or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years’ experience with IEEE 1012 IL4 assessments
• Knowledge of and familiarity with IV&V requirements and with industry standards for IEEE 1012, CMMI and PMBOK
• Superb oral and written communication skills, organizational, interpersonal, and analytic capabilities
• Team player who effectively works well with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Technical writing samples will be required

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with Agile methodology is preferred
• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred

Rate: $60-90/hr (1099 or Corp. To Corp.). This rangerepresentsagood-faithestimate and is not a guarantee; final compensation isdeterminedby factors such as experience, qualifications, and government contract labor rate requirements and may fall outside the stated range.
