Job summary

Apple Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Sr Application Engineer for IT Inventory Platform within IS&T. You will bridge customer needs with engineering execution, understand internal workflows, and influence product direction while onboarding new teams and ensuring adoption.

You will participate in design reviews, prototype solutions, and build integrations, while communicating the platform's business value to leadership and stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience combining technical depth with customer or product engagement.
• Familiarity with infrastructure, data centers, cloud environments, networking, compute.
• Ability to read code, write scripts, work with APIs and data models.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with customers and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong product instincts to evaluate tradeoffs and prioritize by value.
• BS in CS, Engineering, or technical field, or international degree equivalent

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with internal teams relying on IT inventory data.
• Help define and prioritize the product roadmap based on feedback and data.
• Collaborate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and tradeoff decisions.
• Own onboarding for new teams and users, including documentation and enablement.
• Provide ongoing support, triage issues, and capture patterns for improvements.
• Articulate business value of the IT Inventory platform to leadership and partners
