Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Senior IT Systems & Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity at our Northern New Jersey office. You will lead administration, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise IT infrastructure, aligning solutions with business goals.

The role requires strong Windows, AD, and network experience, plus expertise in cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience administering enterprise IT environments, including Windows workstations and servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email/Exchange.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SFTP, LDAP, ARP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience managing network infrastructure, firewalls, wireless systems, endpoint security, encryption, access controls, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, security controls, risk mitigation, and industry best practices.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, system recovery, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues in both routine and high-pressure situations.
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and implement practical, secure, scalable solutions aligned with organizational and business needs.
• Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and project-management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly computer literate, detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing competing demands while maintaining service reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day administration, operation, performance, security, and lifecycle management of local and remote IT infrastructure.
• Administer and support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email, file/print services, databases, document management systems, backups, and related enterprise applications.
• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize secure, reliable, scalable IT infrastructure aligned with organizational objectives and business requirements.
• Provide advanced technical support and serve as a senior escalation point for complex hardware, software, systems, and network issues.
• Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, infrastructure projects, technology enhancements, and new solutions.
