GovCIO is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure modernization programs for the U.S. Coast Guard.

The role is fully remote and focuses on planning, execution, and delivery of complex enterprise network projects, coordinating with USCG stakeholders, engineers, field technicians, and vendors to minimize downtime. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in IT project management.
• PMP or equivalent federal project management certification.
• Experience managing large-scale federal contracts or enterprise IT deployments, preferably within DoD/DHS/USCG.
• Experience deploying Out-of-Band (OOB) management architectures.
• Solid understanding of satellite communications and legacy VSAT transitions.
• Strong communication skills with executive-level stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple parallel IT infrastructure projects from initiation through closure.
• Define scope, build WBS, maintain master schedules, and manage critical paths.
• Identify and mitigate technical, logistical, and timeline risks; implement contingency plans.
• Serve as primary liaison with USCG leadership, engineers, and vendors; ensure SLAs and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project budgets and procurement workflows for global network hardware and connectivity services.
• Coordinate tasks of engineers, technicians, site readiness coordinators, and security teams.
• Review andQuality-check all deliverables, engineering docs, and change tickets.
