Job summary

JD Power is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure, spanning networks, servers, storage and virtualization, with cloud integration. You will troubleshoot issues, collaborate on IT projects, and develop documentation for employees.

The role involves on-call duties, end-user support, and ensuring security and compliance across data center and hosted environments. Strong communication and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or 5+ years in IT engineering/administration).
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with VMware vCenter, Windows Server, Linux, load balancing, and firewalls.
• DNS management and network configuration/troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of professional hardware brands and end-user support.
• Experience with SSL certificate deployment and VoIP technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (networks, servers, storage, virtualization).
• Troubleshoot IT issues and provide timely resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify IT projects and priorities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and policies; stay updated on technologies.
• Provide end-user support for JD Power issued PCs/Laptops and software; monitor ticketing systems.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding, asset procurement/retrieval, and asset lifecycle.
• Support data center and cloud environments; perform patching and backups.
