Job summary

Disc Medicine is seeking an AD of IT Infrastructure and Security to lead the strategy, design, and operations of our enterprise IT and security programs. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical work with strategic oversight across cloud, identity, and data protection in a regulated biopharma context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including regulated life sciences or pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, digital workplace technologies, business systems, and cybersecurity controls.
• Experience managing MSPs, vendors, and third-party technology partners.
• Knowledge of SOX, GxP, FDA-regulated environments, NIST CSF.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture, and modern IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workplace tools and governance considerations.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on technical support, plus excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Microsoft 365 IAM, Intune, Defender and Purview.
• Manage secure endpoints with MSP and SOC collaboration.
• Architect scalable cloud infrastructure to support growth.
• Lead data governance including DLP and AI security policies.
• Align information security with SOX, GxP, FDA requirements.
• Manage web infrastructure: hosting, DNS, Cloudflare, Github.
• Architect and support cloud-based DevOps environments.
• Ensure robust home office technology infrastructure.
• Lead implementation and ongoing optimization of cloud apps and infrastructure.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with policies and regulatory standards.
