Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Boston seeks a senior IT security leader to oversee enterprise cloud and digital workspace security. You will manage Azure-based infrastructure, IAM, endpoint security, data governance, and regulatory compliance (SOX/GxP/FDA) across the life sciences environment.

The role partners with MSPs and Security Operations to scale secure cloud and on‑prem components while guiding governance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years IT experience in regulated life sciences/biotech/pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, digital workplace technologies, and cybersecurity controls.
• Experience managing MSPs, vendors, and third-party partners.
• Familiarity with SOX, GxP, FDA-regulated environments, and NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Microsoft 365 IAM, Intune, Defender, and Purview.
• Secure endpoint configuration and management with MSP and SOC.
• Architect and scale enterprise cloud infrastructure to support growth.
• Lead data governance including DLP and sensitivity labels.
• Align InfoSec program with SOX, GxP, FDA and other regulations.
• Work with MSPs to manage web infrastructure and DevOps support.
• Ensure secure home office tech and ongoing cloud app optimization.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with policies and regulations.
