Job summary

Terabase Energy, Inc. seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to own virtualization, server, storage, backup, and network infrastructure critical to SCADA and engineering systems.

You will manage VMware ESXi/vCenter and Hyper-V environments, design high-availability clusters, perform patching, and optimize performance while ensuring disaster recovery readiness. The role emphasizes reliability, cybersecurity alignment, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Veeam Backup & Replication experience.
• Enterprise networking (Firewalling, switching, VLANs, routing fundamentals).
• Experience in managing high-availability production systems.
• Experience with network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and network layers.
• Experience participating in on-call escalation rotations.
• Strong documentation and operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own lifecycle management of VMware ESXi/vCenter and Hyper-V environments.
• Design, maintain, and optimize HA clusters (VMware HA/DRS and Hyper-V Failover Clustering).
• Perform hypervisor patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Optimize virtual machine performance and resource allocation.
• Maintain standardized templates and configuration governance.
• Administer and optimize Veeam Backup & Replication; define and maintain RPO/RTO targets.
• Periodically validate restores and conduct disaster recovery testing.
• Maintain documented recovery procedures and DR runbooks.
• Manage multi-site backup strategies (full and incremental backups).
• Deploy and troubleshoot enterprise networks including firewalling, VLANs, and routing fundamentals.
• Support patch compliance and vulnerability remediation; participate in firewall reviews and security hardening.
• Lead incident escalation and root cause analysis; monitor performance, storage health, and capacity.
• Develop infrastructure standards, SOPs, and documentation.
