Job summary
Tata Consultancy Services in Kansas seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a 24x7 production support team. You will administer Linux across physical and virtual platforms, manage VMware ESXi/vCenter/vSAN, perform troubleshooting with packet captures, and ensure backup integrity with Veeam, Rubrik or Cohesity.

Qualifications
- Hands-on Linux administration across RHEL/Ubuntu with tuning and security hardening.
- Advanced VMware administration including VM provisioning, snapshots and performance troubleshooting.
- Expert troubleshooting using packet capture tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
- Experience with enterprise backups (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity).
- Understanding of storage (SAN/NAS/RAID) and networking basics.
Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and optimize Linux environments on physical and virtual platforms.
- Manage VMware infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN) including lifecycle and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot complex network/app connectivity with packet captures.
- Operate backup solutions (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity) including restore testing.
- Work with SAN/NAS storage to troubleshoot capacity and latency.
- Lead Major Incident calls and coordinate cross-functional recovery efforts.
- Implement monitoring, ITIL-aligned change and DR activities.
- Produce runbooks and knowledge articles for service continuity.
