Job summary

Senior Market Sales is seeking an FP&A professional to partner with IT, Finance, and Accounting, leading budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the IT portfolio. You will leverage ServiceNow SPM to track costs and ensure accurate financial visibility across projects.

The role emphasizes complex financial modeling, month-end close, and collaboration with project managers to optimize investments and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years of related FP&A experience, preferably in IT.
• Experience supporting Information Technology organizations or technology portfolios.
• Hands-on experience using ServiceNow, with exposure to Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and consolidate the annual IT portfolio budgeting and long-range planning process.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial analyses and reporting.
• Track and reconcile IT costs by project and portfolio in ServiceNow SPM.
• Partner with project managers and operational leaders to improve financial visibility into project investments.
• Independently construct moderate to complex financial models to analyze initiatives.
• Prepare and analyze IT Utilization reports for business units via ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with Accounting to maintain integrity of financial systems used for analysis.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement methods to reduce errors and maximize productivity.
• Complete special projects to support corporate objectives.
• Review IT expenses to ensure accurate coding.

SUMMARY

Serves as a key business partner between IT, Finance, and Accounting teams, providing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project cost analysis support. Utilizes strong FP&A and accounting experience along with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) to track IT financial management processes and activity. Plays a critical role in analyzing technology spend, tracking project costs, supporting capital and operating budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the IT portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in coordinating, preparing, and consolidating the annual IT portfolio budgeting and long-range planning process, including assumptions, templates, submissions, review, and executive presentation.
• Performs month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial analysis, including budget versus actual reporting, along with clearly articulating to management the narrative behind the numbers.
• Tracks and reconciles financial activity by project and portfolio in ServiceNow SPM to ensure accuracy, adherence to budget, proper accounting, and reliable reporting.
• Partners with project managers and operational leaders to improve financial visibility into project investments and outcomes.
• Independently constructs moderate to complex financial models to analyze the impact of current and proposed company initiatives.
• Prepares and analyzes IT Utilization reports to business units through ServiceNow.
• Partners with Accounting to develop and maintain integrity of financial systems used for analysis.
• Proactively identifies areas for process improvement and implements methods to reduce error rates and maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Completes special projects as assigned to support corporate objectives.
• Reviews IT expenses to ensure accurate coding.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five (5) or more years of related work experience, specifically in a FP&A role
• Experience supporting Information Technology organizations or technology portfolios
• Hands-on experience using ServiceNow, with exposure to Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)

SKILLS

• Strong understanding of financial computer systems and data systems
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting concepts and financial reporting
• Technical understanding of data structure, data mining, and reporting processes
• Knowledge of IT financial management practices, including capital planning and operational expense management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Access
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and polished presentation skills
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
• Strong mathematical ability
