Job summary

Aegon Asset Management is seeking a Senior IT Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA to drive secure software delivery across the DevSecOps lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deploy scalable solutions in a financial services environment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Owners, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and guiding junior staff while ensuring data privacy and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices within agile environments.
• Experience delivering secure, scalable software in production environments.
• Background in financial services or asset management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions across the full DevSecOps lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand outcomes and translate into technical solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain applications and platforms aligned to factory priorities.
• Engage with business stakeholders to validate options and share proof-of-concept code.
• Apply engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and team performance.
• Participate in incident resolution and support activities (3rd Line).
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and contribute to innovation within the factory.
• Support the Engineering Manager and Factory Tech Lead with technical input into factory-level decisions.
• Manage data privacy risks and ensure compliance with policy regarding processing of sensitive data.
