Job summary

Quartermaster AI seeks an IT Engineer to support and secure our distributed networks and endpoints across multiple sites. You will handle help desk requests, design and stand up networks, and support cross‑domain data transfers in classified environments.

The role requires hands‑on expertise in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint management, with RMF/ATO and DISA STIGs familiarity. A U.S. citizen with relevant security clearance is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of IT engineering, including senior‑level support.
• Strong networking: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, QoS.
• Experience installing and configuring enterprise network hardware and troubleshooting.
• Experience standing up secure/classified networks.
• Experience moving data between low/high side networks (NIPR/SIPR).
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF/ATO.
• Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT operations and endpoint support across macOS, Windows, Linux.
• Manage endpoint fleet with provisioning and identity providers (MDM, Google Workspace, JumpCloud).
• Onboard/offboard users, devices, and access provisioning.
• Administer SaaS platforms and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and diagrams.
• Enforce IT security policies with Security team.
• Improve IT processes and mentor junior staff.
• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN across multiple sites.
• Install/configure network hardware and support cross‑domain networks.
• Set up cross‑domain solutions to move data securely between domains.
• Harden infrastructure to DISA STIGs; support RMF/ATO processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance; provide on‑call support.
