Job summary

Quartermaster AI in the United States is seeking a hands-on IT Engineer to support IT operations, network infrastructure, and cross-domain environments, including configuring firewalls, endpoints, and secure data transfer between classification levels.

You will work across IT and security teams, mentor junior staff, and help move data securely while maintaining rock-solid networks in classified environments.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years in IT engineering, systems administration, and/or network engineering with senior-level support.
• Experience standing up secure or classified networks and cross-domain data transfer.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF/ATO processes, and data protection controls.
• Proficient scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell and strong documentation habits.
• U.S. citizen with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive IT operations support across hardware, software, OS, and connectivity for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Build and maintain classified and air‑gapped networks and cross‑domain solutions for data transfer.
• Harden networks to DISA STIGs and assist RMF/ATO activities and audits.
• Mentor junior IT staff and improve internal IT processes and automation.
