Job summary

Airwallex is seeking an IT Engineer to own and optimize our collaboration tool stack, including Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom. You will build integrations, automation, and AI-enhanced workflows, collaborating with INFOSEC and regional IT teams to scale secure solutions across global operations.

You will design, develop, and maintain integrations, migrate data, and drive onboarding of AI features while supporting a fast-growing business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a corporate platform or collaboration services engineer role.
• 5+ years as the primary owner of a core product – Slack or Google Workspace.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical/non-technical audiences.
• Experience with data migration, automation scripts, custom integrations, bots and workflows.
• Knowledge of AI models and tools, with ability to learn new concepts quickly.
• Hands-on coding with automation tools and APIs; JSON/REST APIs, Python or similar.
• Experience with low-code/no-code tools is a plus.
• Experience building/administering integrations with Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.
• Cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS) and related services; IT operations experience.
• Comfortable working in a global org with on-call rotations; build-it, own-it mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize Slack integrations, workflows, apps and services; primary owner on Slack.
• Develop Google Workspace and Zoom integrations using APIs and tooling.
• Create scripts or use low/no-code solutions to move data between collaboration platforms.
• Build bots and automations; leverage AI models to boost performance.
• Ensure collaboration tools scale securely and effectively across regions.
• Handle ambiguity and craft solutions with strong intuition.
• Manage migrations and integrations from mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, Support, Sales to solve problems.
• Write custom solutions when products fall short; build or buy as needed.
• Support IT Engineering; handle escalations and share knowledge.
• Drive AI outcomes; deploy and enable teams to use AI across the business.
