Job summary

Medtronic plc in Minnesota seeks a Sr. IT Director for the Surgical OU & Hyperautomation to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps and drive AI-enabled capabilities.

You will partner with leaders to forecast investments, govern projects, and accelerate enterprise-wide digital transformation. As a senior technology leader, you will shape strategy, oversee portfolio delivery, and mentor global teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives involving AI, intelligent automation, analytics, data platforms, or advanced digital technologies.
• Experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps, and operating plans aligned to business objectives.
• Experience leading large-scale technology portfolios, programs, or organizational initiatives.
• Experience managing budgets, risks, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT business partner for the Surgical Operating Unit and align technology investments with strategic business objectives.
• Develop and execute technology roadmaps, operating plans, and digital transformation strategies across the Surgical portfolio.
• Lead Hyperautomation to deliver scalable and compliant technology solutions.
• Identify, prioritize, and scale AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics initiatives that create measurable business value.
• Direct portfolio delivery activities, including prioritization, budgeting, risk management, dependency management, and outcome tracking.
• Partner with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure effective delivery, adoption, support, and continuous improvement of solutions.
• Lead, develop, and strengthen global teams, contractors, and strategic partners through talent development and succession planning.
