Job summary

Weissman in St. Louis seeks an IT Development Manager to lead the software development team powering eCommerce, distribution, manufacturing, reporting, and internal operations.

You will partner with analysts, project managers, and leaders to deliver scalable technology and drive agile practices. You will mentor developers, champion Scrum, remove blockers, and balance strategic initiatives with daily needs while delivering measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 7–9 years of professional software development experience.
• 4–6 years with SQL development, database support or troubleshooting.
• 4–6 years in Agile environments using Jira or similar tooling.
• Experience leading Agile teams and project leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software developers while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software initiatives that support business objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans with stakeholders.
• Facilitate Agile practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Manage team capacity, priorities, and workloads balancing strategic projects with operations.
• Identify and remove roadblocks to ensure timely project delivery.
• Monitor development metrics and drive process and quality improvements.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews and hands-on development when needed.
• Promote best practices, coding standards, and long-term maintainability.
• Stay current on emerging tech and guide Weissman’s platform evolution.
