Job description

We are looking for a results-driven Senior Project Manager with a strong IT background to lead complex technology projects from initiation through delivery. You are someone who cuts through complexity, removes roadblocks, and drives projects to completion on time and within budget. In this role, you will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure that commitments are met and outcomes are delivered.

This position offers 80% remote work, with on-site presence in our new Headquarter St. Ingbert required approximately one day per week.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality targets are met.
• Define clear project plans, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria from the outset.
• Drive accountability across cross-functional teams by setting expectations, tracking progress, and escalating issues early.
• Identify risks and dependencies proactively and implement mitigation strategies before they become blockers.
• Remove obstacles and cut through organizational friction to keep projects moving forward.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management.
• Translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable communication for non-technical audiences.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and external delivery partners where applicable.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting structures, and status communication cadences.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion pragmatic, outcome-focused project management practices across the organization.

Your Profile

• 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of IT landscapes, including infrastructure, software development, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated ability to drive results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where perfect information is rarely available.
• Experience with both agile and traditional project management methodologies; pragmatic in choosing the right approach for the situation.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to align diverse interests and manage expectations at all levels.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for making the complex simple.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Hands-on mentality with a bias toward action over process for the sake of process.
• Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar).
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing cloud migration, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.
• Background in software development or IT operations.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management principles.
• Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector).
