Job summary

Phoenix Defense is seeking an IT Manager to lead the IT department across Orlando, FL and Gilbert, AZ, and support remote US/overseas teams. You will plan, implement, and secure the IT infrastructure while coordinating with business leaders to align technology with strategic goals.

You will manage security, vendor relations, and compliance initiatives, ensuring reliable operations, effective escalation, and continuous improvements in IT processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related technical field.
• Experience with CMMC compliance.
• 10+ years in IT projects, networking, integration or systems engineering.
• US citizenship is required.
• Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Linux) are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise IT team including network, hardware, and software.
• Mentor IT staff in security, troubleshooting, and people skills.
• Procure and maintain IT infrastructure for the company.
• Create the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for IT.
• Oversee LAN/WAN implementation using switch/router tech.
• Monitor security, conduct penetration testing, respond to threats.
• Identify tech needs and advise decision makers.
• Ensure compliance with CMMC standards and remediate gaps.
• Keep IT infrastructure aligned with evolving business needs.
• Plan and monitor IT KPIs; document changes and procedures.
