Job summary

AECOM is seeking a proactive Assistant General Counsel to lead IT and commercial contract matters, including master services, SaaS, software licenses and AI-related terms for a global corporate function. The role supports IT, finance, travel and HR and enables remote work within the US.

The successful candidate will have a JD and at least 9 years of commercial experience, with proven ability to manage teams, balance risk and provide practical business advice in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and at least 9 years of commercial/transactional experience.
• Experience negotiating IT, AI, software licensing and SaaS agreements.
• Proven ability to manage attorneys and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and interpret key commercial contracts across IT and corporate functions.
• Lead negotiations with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to craft solutions.
• Manage internal attorneys and coordinate cross-functional review processes.
• Establish and own agreement processes, forms and standard terms.
• Advise senior business clients with rapid, practical contract guidance.
