Job summary

ComTec Information Systems (IT) is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support the Utilities Transmission group. You will drive requirements for GE EMS and ADMS initiatives, work with stakeholders across transmission/operations and IT teams, and guide the SDLC from elicitation through UAT.

You will lead workshops, document processes, and develop artifacts like user stories and RTMs while coordinating testing and defect resolution to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
• Hands-on in Electric Utility/Transmission environments.
• Experience with GE EMS and ADMS.
• Strong requirements elicitation and stakeholder workshop skills.
• Experience documenting AS-IS/TO-BE processes and GAP analysis.
• SDLC experience including testing and UAT; familiar with Waterfall and Agile.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements-gathering workshops with stakeholders and teams.
• Support GE EMS and ADMS initiatives, including analysis, enhancements, integrations, and system changes.
• Conduct GAP analysis and document AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
• Develop user stories, functional specs, use cases, and RTMs.
• Translate requirements into functional/technical specs for Dev and QA.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, and defect resolution with business users.
• Maintain project, requirements, and testing documentation.
• Facilitate communication among business, operations, product/technical teams.
