Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin, TX is seeking an IT Business Analyst IV to support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) and related analytics initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with development teams, stakeholders, and data partners to advance data acquisition, validation, and dashboard delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is preferred.
5+ years experience as a BA in an IT setting.
2+ years in a role requiring hands on testing, data validation or Quality Assurance.
Experience with Agile

Responsibilities

Delivers a quality work product by designing data acquisition strategies and automating data processes in support of performance management dashboard development.
Works with agile sprint teams to meet deliverables and documents requirements and processes.
Develops standards for data acquisition and transformation for analytics projects.
Collaborates with the Chief Data Architect team, stakeholders, other agencies, and third‑party vendors to meet changing business requirements.
Oversees data acquisition support, defect repair, maintenance and production operations; assists with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Attends meetings, monitors deliverables and ensures procedures are followed; reports inconsistencies to management for mitigation.
