Job summary

State of Washington, ProviderOne MMIS, seeks a senior IT Business Analyst to lead subsystem analysis, vendor engagement, and cross‑functional coordination. You will translate complex tech options into business terms for senior leadership and vendors, guiding lifecycle development and strategic enhancements.

As a technical expert, you will drive BABOK-aligned activities, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure quality through SDLC governance.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of direct hands-on experience developing and managing requirements of major systems or subsystem components.
Four (4) years of vendor / System Integrator management and facilitating systems development sessions and relationships.
Two (2) years of knowledge and hands-on experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Two (2) years demonstrated experience with BABOK-based practice for business analysis.
Experience and knowledge of testing methodologies to ensure positive and negative tests are performed with test scripts.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical expert for a major component/subsystem.
Consult on ProviderOne system changes and enhancements.
Engage at executive level on resolutions to business changes.
Provide direction to workgroups and staff for implementing new solutions.
Research and analyze potential new technology solutions.
Coordinate with business, stakeholders, and vendor for consistent processes and logic.
Analyze interfaces with external agencies and multi-system interactions.
Perform BABOK disciplines and related methodologies.
Develop and oversee projects through the SDLC.
Expand technical skills to stay current with modular technology.
