Job summary

Spring Health is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to design and deliver complex automations and integrations across core systems. You’ll drive pattern-based solutions, document approaches, and ensure security-guided implementations within a governance framework.

You will own monitoring, incident response, and escalation, partnering with Security and Compliance while mentoring other engineers and expanding vendor relationships. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automation, integration, or IT systems engineering with hands-on delivery.
• Experience with Workato and other iPaaS (Boomi, MuleSoft, Tray, or n8n).
• Experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
• Proven track record designing reusable patterns adopted by other engineers.
• Hands-on experience building AI‑powered workflows in a governed environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver complex automations and integrations that connect Spring Health's core systems.
• Choose technical approaches where no pattern exists and document them for repeatability.
• Fix root causes: brittle integrations, workflow gaps, unclear data contracts.
• Develop reusable patterns, components, and agent building blocks for IT.
• Guide how integrations are authenticated, errors handled, and tested; shape standards with Security/Compliance.
• Own monitoring, alerting, and incident response for production automations and agents.
• Serve as escalation point for IT Systems Engineers; reduce volume through root-cause fixes.
• Collaborate as a technical peer on integration design and build durable vendor relationships.
• Share learnings with vendors and platform partners and bring back to the team.
• Support growth of IT Systems Engineers through design reviews and pairing.
