Job summary

Signet Jewelers, the world’s leading diamond jewelry retailer, seeks a Senior Internal Auditor in the Akron, OH area for hybrid on-site work. You will perform process and IT audits, data analytics, and advisory work to strengthen internal controls across brands.

The role requires 3–5 years of audit experience, a accounting degree, and strong communication skills. CPA/CIA/CISA preferred; on-site presence is required for hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/related discipline; CPA, CIA, CISA certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• 3–5 years audit experience required.
• Strong data analytics/AI experience.
• Candidates must be local to the Akron, OH area and able to be on-site for a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Participates in process/operational/integrated audits and special projects to analyze risks and controls.
• Develops risk-based audit approach, planning, fieldwork and reporting; evaluates key risks and controls.
• Advises on pre/post implementation of systems and processes to strengthen internal controls.
• Identifies control deficiencies and root causes; prepares audit findings and remediation actions.
• Supports onboarding activities and department audit training.
• Assists in policy/procedure development; stays current with best practices and standards.
• Develops annual audit plan by identifying risk areas and projects.
• Leads data analytics projects and explores automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Stays informed on major change initiatives as part of strategic initiatives.
