Job summary

Allianz Asset Management seeks an IT Audit Manager to lead risk-based IT audits for the asset management business from Newport Beach / New York. You will plan, execute and supervise large cross-regional audits, build trusted relationships with auditees and senior stakeholders, and ensure alignment with governance standards.

You will mentor junior staff, drive audit methodology enhancements, and contribute to strategic IT risk initiatives while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years professional experience in internal/external IT audit or IT consulting.
• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technologies, Business Informatics or equivalent.
• CISA, CISSP or COBIT/ITIL certifications are advantageous.
• Broad IT skills across infrastructure, security, cloud; programming knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of DORA ICT risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Data analytics literacy: cleansing, analysis, visualization; AI usage in IA context.
• Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% per annum.

Responsibilities

• Plan risk-based annual audit plan, risk assessments, and execute audits.
• Build relationships with auditees and senior stakeholders as a trusted partner.
• Lead and supervise complex cross-regional IT and integrated audits.
• Identify deficiencies, propose solutions, and track remediation progress.
• Collaborate on departmental and inter-organizational projects.
• Ensure compliance with audit policies, independence and standards.
• Support and review audit work including interviews, tests, and reporting.
• Be a center of excellence for IT Infra & Network, Security, Cloud and ITGC.
• Mentor staff, plan technical training, and drive continuous methodology improvements.
