Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a civilian IT Specialist to lead IT/OT architecture modernization and policy-driven planning. This role ensures secure, data-centric digital infrastructure and drives enterprise-scale technology initiatives across AFMC and AFSC leadership.

The position requires security clearance, APDP certification, and expertise in policy formulation, budget analysis, and complex IT architectures.

Qualifications

Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods.
Knowledge of policy and planning formulation processes.
Knowledge of budgetary processes and cost-benefit analysis for IT requirements.
Knowledge of system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.
Ability to analyze tech complexities and provide cost/technical analyses in writing and briefings.
Ability to stay current with tech advances and anticipate future needs.

Responsibilities

Conduct capability studies and design action plans to optimize legacy apps and boost efficiency.
Evaluate policy requirements to implement localized IT/OT procedures.
Serve as senior technical advisor and provide end-to-end project management for technology modernization.
Oversee contracts and budget activities to ensure alignment with long-range digital goals.
Represent the organization at executive forums and inter-agency meetings with briefings on future strategies.
