Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a civilian IT Specialist (NH-2210-03) to lead modernization efforts for AFMC in the AFSC Staff/A6O office. The role focuses on IT/OT convergence, policy design, and end-to-end project management for technology modernization initiatives.

The position may be filled at Hill AFB, UT; Robins AFB, GA; or Tinker AFB, OK, with eligibility based on current DoW federal employment and SF50 submission. Salary is $89,508–$138,370 with locality adjustments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods.
• Knowledge of policy planning formulation processes and IT policy development.
• Knowledge of budgetary processes, cost-benefit analyses, and performance data analysis for IT requirements.
• Knowledge of system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.
• Ability to analyze existing technology, review policies, plan enhancements, and provide technical and cost analyses.
• Ability to stay updated on technology advances and foresee future IT needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct capability studies and design strategic action plans to optimize legacy applications and boost operational efficiency.
• Evaluate policy requirements to author and implement procedures governing secure IT/OT convergence.
• Serve as senior technical advisor with end-to-end project management for technology modernization, overseeing contracts and budgets.
• Ensure acquisitions align with long-range digital infrastructure goals through coordination with leadership.
• Represent the organization at executive forums and inter-agency meetings, delivering high-level briefings to align stakeholders on future tech strategies.
