Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Lead IT Engineer to provide strategic oversight of our infrastructure—servers, cloud, networking, storage, telephony, and endpoints—ensuring GMP/21 CFR Part 11 compliance and security.

You will architect solutions, define roadmaps, lead large-scale projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with OT and lab systems to align IT with manufacturing requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with 2+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience in regulated GMP/21 CFR Part 11 environments, with validated and non-validated systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, high-level leadership across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Lead incident management, change control, and ITIL-aligned processes (ServiceNow).
• Architect and deliver roadmaps for secure, scalable IT facilities in GMP contexts.
• Partner with OT, lab systems, and manufacturing teams to align IT with business needs.
