Water, Energy, and Environment - Agency 84 in Lincoln, NE is seeking an IT Applications Developer/Senior - GIS to join the IT and GIS teams to design, develop, and maintain GIS data, databases, and application tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.

The role emphasizes coordinating with staff to deliver reliable GIS solutions, with opportunities to work on enterprise systems and dashboards within a public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or related field with two years of coding experience.
• Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with GIS-related coursework and ESRI software experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in appropriate committees at the Department and State levels.
• Create and maintain Department Enterprise GIS databases.
• Create and maintain GIS applications and interactive maps.
• Create tools for process improvement for the Department's Divisions.
• Create and maintain templates, figures, forms, and GIS project files.
• Create automated tasks and workflows for real-time applications.
• Create and maintain Field Data Collection Applications.
