Job summary

JSI is seeking a GIS Developer to join our Information Technology team in a remote capacity, based in Nephi, UT, reporting to the IT Director. You will design, develop, test, and maintain geospatial applications and Intelli-Fiber platform capabilities, leveraging ArcGIS and related GIS tools to manage spatial data and project databases.

The role emphasizes DevOps support, system integration, and collaboration across project teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable GIS solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, GIS or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience with ArcGIS or GIS platforms and geospatial technologies.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and lifecycle management.
• Understanding of large-scale system integration and technical architecture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, tailor, integrate, and maintain geospatial applications and Intelli-Fiber platform capabilities.
• Use ArcGIS and GIS tools to create, maintain, update and enhance spatial data, mapping systems and project databases.
• Support DevOps, change management, and service management activities including code releases and user assistance.
• Investigate complex technical problems, perform preventative maintenance, and help ensure reliability, security and performance.
• Partner with project teams to assess requirements, build solutions and lead initiatives when needed.
• Stay informed about new GIS and mapping technologies and promote knowledge sharing and user training.
