Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a senior IT/engineering professional to support a U.S. aerospace manufacturer and defense contractor.

In this client-facing role you will analyze system needs, troubleshoot, and implement new procedures across hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 9–15 years of experience, with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 9-15 years of experience (for external candidates only).
• Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult engineering/scientific problems.
• Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives.
• Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
• Failure to achieve expected results would typically result in serious project delays.
• Works with minimal direction.
• Independently determines and develops approaches to problems.
• Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Receives guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to defined end user groups.
• Work with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals.
• Study and analyze system needs, system development, system process analysis, design and re-engineering.
• Troubleshoot, install, and update information technology resources.
• Implement new procedures and techniques.
