Responsibilities

  • Owns assigned systems analysis deliverables from requirements gathering through solution validation, ensuring work is completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with business needs.
  • Analyzes business processes, system functionality, data flows, and user requirements to identify gaps, improve efficiency, and support effective technology solutions.
  • Designs process maps, flow charts, models, and functional documentation that define current-state issues, future-state requirements, and recommended system changes.
  • Evaluates new and existing IT systems for compatibility, integration, usability, and performance within the broader application, infrastructure, and network environment.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders, project teams, developers, and technical support groups to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and align solutions with operational objectives.
  • Develops functional specifications, business rules, and logic requirements that support technical design, system configuration, and application development activities.
  • Coordinates system testing, defect tracking, and user validation activities to confirm solutions meet requirements and operate effectively within existing environments.
  • Supports project planning, risk assessment, status tracking, and implementation readiness activities to help deliver technology initiatives within scope, timeline, and budget expectations.
  • Improves system and process performance by identifying recurring issues, recommending practical enhancements, and contributing to continuous improvement across supported IT services and workflows.
  • Manages application issues, enhancement requests, upgrades, and ongoing support needs.
  • Serves as system administrator for assigned applications, including user access management, configurations, and execution of system controls to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

The Senior IT Analyst demonstrates advanced Information Technology knowledge within a discipline and understands interdependencies across functions and teams. The role solves complex problems, analyzes information, and recommends process improvements. Work impacts departmental outcomes and may influence cross-functional results. The position operates independently under broad direction and may mentor or coach others. Communication involves conveying complex or sensitive information and building alignment across teams or departments. The role may lead smaller-scale projects and supports the development of others.

Ascent Industries Co. is a specialty chemicals platform delivering differentiated, performance-driven chemical solutions to a diverse set of end markets. The Company develops, manufactures, and supplies tailored formulations and intermediates that enhance product performance and optimize industrial processes.The Company's core product portfolio includes surfactants, defoamers, lubricating agents, flame retardants, and specialty intermediates, offered in both petroleum-based and bio-based formulations. Ascent's products are used as critical ingredients and process aids in applications such as cleaning formulations, coatings systems, oilfield production chemicals, agrochemical formulations, metalworking fluids, water treatment solutions, and industrial textiles.

Key Responsibilities:
