Job summary

Power3 is seeking a Sr. Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Laurel, MD to support implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies across programs requiring RMF compliance.

The role involves coordinating documentation, risk assessment, and security authorization activities in line with DoD/IC requirements. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years as an ISSO, DoD 8570 IAM Level I+, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proven

Qualifications

• Ten or more years as ISSO on programs/contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Experience in at least two areas: security tools, hardware/software security, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I or higher is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four (4) years of additional ISSO experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist with preparing and maintaining documentation such as SSPs, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
• Evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for processing classified information.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems and programs.
• Provide CM for security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Assist ISSM with maintaining IA posture for systems and enclaves.
• Plan and coordinate IT security programs and policies.
• Serve as Approval Authority for ISs under their control.
