Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Sr. Information System Security Officer to support DoW SSP and NSWC Crane. The ISSO will secure non-enterprise systems for large programs and travel regularly to SPHQ or Field Activities.

The System ISSO ensures appropriate cybersecurity posture, defines system security objectives, and assists in creating the security authorization package. Onsite support is required with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Ability to collaborate with large and highly competent technical teams.
• Strategic high-level thinking.
• Ability/experience with planning an initiative involving large-scale, networked systems.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/CNWDI US Government Clearance. Interim Secret clearance required to start.
• Willing and able to travel 40% or more.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are accredited and procedures are followed.
• Maintain residual Cybersecurity risk within accepted levels.
• Develop, maintain, and update Cybersecurity documentation.
• Implement SSP responses to DoW IAVAs and IAVBs.
• Investigate security incidents and implement protective measures.
• Report cybersecurity incidents to the branch ISSM with UR coordination.
• Develop and test incident response and contingency plans annually.
• Participate in engineering reviews for systems under cognizance.
