Job summary

Aerodyne Industries, LLC in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF-based security programs for assigned systems. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, and hands-on RMF, A&A, and eMASS experience.

You will mentor the security team, coordinate assessments, and ensure compliance with NIST and DoD requirements while collaborating with program stakeholders. Travel up to 10% and a day shift are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• Must have 2+ years of directly related cybersecurity experience.
• Must have direct experience with the NIST RMF.
• Must know the foundational Governance, Risk and Compliance requirements from NIST, CRF, DoD 8000 series, for federal information systems.
• Must have significant experience with eMASS, including updating implementation plans, SSPs, test results, and workflows.
• Must have experience utilizing RMF tools such as Tenable.sc, DISA STIGs, SCC, STIG Viewer 3.x, NAVSEA E-STIG, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE).
• Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and deployment of program information security for assigned systems.
• Implement RMF A&A processes and support product development and maintenance.
• Perform security compliance continuous monitoring (ConMon).
• Participate in security assessments and audits.
• Prepare and present technical reports and briefings.
• Identify root causes, prioritize threats, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership within the information security program team.
• Explore industry developments in information security practices.
• Support enterprise-wide information security policies and procedures across multiple stakeholders.
